## Title: Business Development Officer – IT Products & Services

About the Role

TecFlax Solutions Limited is seeking a proactive Business Development Officer to drive revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing opportunities for its IT products and services. This role encompasses software, cloud solutions, managed services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and consulting offerings.

You will build and manage sales pipelines, nurture customer relationships, and work closely with technical and delivery teams to convert prospects into long-term clients.

Nairobi City, Remote/Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities across target markets and verticals
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Conduct prospecting through cold outreach, networking, events, and referrals; manage the complete sales cycle from lead to close
  • Present product and service value propositions, create tailored proposals, and lead negotiations
  • Coordinate with pre-sales and technical teams to design solutions, demonstrate products, and prepare Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Maintain accurate CRM records including pipeline data, activity logs, forecasts, and account information
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and channel partners; identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs; provide actionable feedback to product and marketing teams
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and client meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, IT, Marketing, or related field
  • 2+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably selling IT products or services
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of IT services including cloud, SaaS, managed services, cybersecurity, and infrastructure
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable with consultative selling and technical conversations
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms)
