## Title: Business Development Manager
About the Role
Sheer Logic is seeking a qualified Business Development Manager to drive growth and identify new business opportunities. This role is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and involves developing strategic partnerships, closing deals, and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities through market surveys, internet research, networking, and referrals, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
- Research industry trends by monitoring events, publications, and announcements to identify trendsetter ideas
- Analyze target markets including industry sectors, companies, projects, and contacts to develop effective market strategies
- Evaluate potential business deals by assessing market strategies, requirements, potential returns, and financial viability
- Develop deep knowledge of business services and products to effectively communicate value propositions to prospective clients
- Plan and execute sales campaigns while building and managing the sales pipeline
- Respond proactively to RFPs and tenders, and expand sales into new territories
- Create quotes and proposals tailored to potential clients' needs
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing contracts, and integrating them with business operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and business partners, identifying growth opportunities
- Drive customer service initiatives to build superior customer experience, brand loyalty, and company reputation
- Analyze customer base and sales strategies to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability
- Represent the company at exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events
- Collaborate with the business development team on promotional strategies and activities
- Maintain accurate records of sales, revenue, and relevant business data
- Train and mentor business development team members; coordinate external training through HR as needed
