Associate Professor - Computer Science at Embu University College

Position Overview

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Associate Professor – Grade 14 in Computer Science.

Minimum Qualifications

• Earned PhD degree in a relevant area of specialty

Required Experience

• Minimum eight (8) years of university teaching experience
• At least three (3) years of experience as a full-time Senior Lecturer

Academic Requirements

• Minimum forty-eight (48) publication points, with at least thirty-two (32) points from articles in refereed scholarly journals since appointment as Senior Lecturer
• Successfully supervised to completion at least five (5) Master's degree students and one (1) PhD student since appointment as Senior Lecturer
• Demonstrated success in securing at least two (2) research grants since appointment as Senior Lecturer

Additional Requirements

• Evidence of attendance and active contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops
• Evidence of active participation and/or leadership in university activities
• Evidence of continued research activity
