## Title: Assistant Professor in Robotics and System Automation
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join the School of Science and Technology at the university level. The successful candidate will report to the Dean of the School of Science and Technology and will be expected to teach, conduct research, and engage in service performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in robotics and system automation specializations
- Support and mentor students in their career endeavors
- Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that programs are current and marketable
- Participate in program assessment and reviews
- Supervise students' research projects, theses, and dissertations at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Engage in research in robotics and system automation expertise areas
- Engage in service to the university, the profession, and the community
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from an accredited university
- At least 3 years of teaching and/or research experience at the university level as a Lecturer or Research Fellow
- Minimum of 32 publication points as a Lecturer/Research Fellow as per CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014, of which at least 24 should be from refereed scholarly journals
- Supervised at least 4 postgraduate students to completion as a Lecturer/Research Fellow
- Registration by the relevant professional body, where applicable
