Assistant Finance Manager- Internal Controls

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Assistant Finance Manager – Internal Controls to join our team at Rafiki Microfinance Bank in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring IFRS compliance and timely submission of all month-end bank returns
• Oversee reconciliation processes for all bank and suspense accounts; substantiate trial balances and investigate data anomalies
• Drive the bank's risk management programs, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and tracking corrective actions across all units
• Execute cashflow forecasting and management while reporting on the performance of enterprise financial plans

Required Qualifications

• Business-related degree from a reputable university
• Full CPA (K) certification
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Mastery of IFRS, regulatory requirements, and banking procedures
• Proven ability to investigate data anomalies and resolve workflow issues
