About the Role
The Assistant Director, ICT Business Applications and Innovation leads the acquisition, gathering of system requirements, analysis, design, development and maintenance of business applications to facilitate first-class customer experience.

- Information Systems Security
- Database Administration and Quality Assurance
- Infrastructure and Support
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Build and maintain a high-performance team focused on delivering first-class ICT business application solutions
- Create an environment of trust, mutual respect and genuine concern for individual growth and development
- Manage the day-to-day activities of developers
- Lead the development team by planning, allocating and following up on delivery of business solutions
Stakeholder Management
- Create and maintain working relationships with Line Managers, Divisional Supervisors, ICT Team, application users, business champions, contracted service providers and consultants
- Assess user capacity and recommend training and areas requiring improvement
Planning and Governance
- Plan and evaluate divisional activities while ensuring alignment to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
- Develop budgets to upgrade existing business systems to meet user requirements
- Report on development progress to the Deputy Director, ICT Business Applications
Quality Assurance and Delivery
- Review requirements definition and design documents for completeness
- Ensure test cases, adequate training and documentation are completed for developed solutions
- Ensure applications meet business requirements and system goals, and fulfill end-user requirements
- Identify and resolve system issues
- Ensure developers have a proper development environment and the ability to complete assigned tasks
