Art/Design Technology (DT) Room Assistant – High School at Braeburn Schools

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Art/Design Technology Room Assistant to join our High School team. The successful candidate will support the Art and Design Technology departments in maintaining a safe, organized, and inspiring learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in setting up and preparing materials, tools, and resources for lessons
• Maintain and organize the Art and DT rooms, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficient use of materials
• Support students during practical sessions, encouraging creativity and safe working practices
• Assist with displays of student work and exhibition setups
• Ensure all tools, machines, and materials are properly stored and maintained

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or certificate in Art, Design Technology, or a related field (advantageous)
• Basic knowledge of Art/DT tools, equipment, and safety procedures
• Practical and organized approach with strong attention to detail
• Safety-conscious mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students in a busy learning environment
• Creative and proactive approach to fostering students' artistic and design skills
