About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Kenya Builders & Concrete Co. Ltd as a Weighbridge Operator in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Ascertain the accuracy of raw materials and goods by weighing items being picked from the site by any vehicle
• Collect and collate all documentation including Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) prior to weighing
• Maintain proper housekeeping of the weighbridge and general area to ensure a clean, tidy, and hazard-free condition
• Report to management any breaches of rules, acts of dishonesty, or malpractice by members of the public, visitors, or staff
• Act as the first point of contact for vehicles to resolve delivery and collection issues
• Ensure all Health & Safety measures are adhered to at the weighbridge, including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Maintain and develop effective relationships with all customers whilst ensuring efficiency in service delivery
• Maintain awareness of risk assessments, emergency procedures, and health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements
• Resolve customer complaints immediately to ensure satisfaction at the weighbridge
• Prepare timely weighbridge reports for raw materials
• Keep proper records of all deliveries, fuel deliveries, and materials dispatched on a daily basis

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or trade test in logistics management
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (procurement, supply chain and logistics, data analysis) – desired
• Degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering (Motor Vehicle Electrics), IT, Electronics, or Operations Management or a related field – added advantage
