Volunteer Teaching - Finance and Accounting at Africa Nazarene University (ANU)

About the Role

Africa Nazarene University (ANU) in Nairobi, Kenya invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to contribute to finance and accounting education through volunteer teaching.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of high-quality curriculum
• Review curriculum and course outlines and develop course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ various teaching methods including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities to facilitate student learning and deliver course content
• Develop learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate students, graduate students, internship, and research work
• Participate in departmental research and conduct research in specialist areas, publishing findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
• Advise students on academic, career, and related issues when required
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, industrial linkages, and market outreach visits as required
• Participate in departmental administrative and field operations and programs

Academic and Professional Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field aligned with the program domain, OR
• Master's degree in a relevant field with PhD studies at the final stage (data collection), OR
• At least three (3) years of relevant industry experience
