## Title: Underwriting Analyst
Position Overview
The role holder will be responsible for the effective processing of underwriting documents and verification of client data, as well as assessment of proposed risks within established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess proposed risks within set standards to accurately determine the risk the business is taking
- Generate policies and issue motor certificates
- Prepare policy documents
- Process policy endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
- Process policy reconciliation and debiting
- Issue cover notes and quotations
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of policies underwritten and decisions made
- Provide high standards of customer service by responding to client inquiries via walk-in, telephone, and email, and efficiently address their issues
- Assist clients in identifying products that suit their needs in line with insurance principles
- Liaise with intermediaries and direct clients regarding policy-related issues to provide accurate information
- Apply credit control policy and ensure debit/credit notes are raised in the correct month to facilitate collection
- Maintain proper filing of client information in both manual and electronic formats for easy retrieval when required
- Ensure compliance with governance requirements regarding KYC/AML/Data protection as per applicable Acts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Economics, or other business-related discipline
- Progress towards Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK) — at least 3 papers or equivalent
Experience
- Up to 2 years' experience in the insurance or financial services industry
