About the Position

Siaya National Polytechnic seeks a dedicated and experienced trainer to deliver specialized instruction in Analytical Chemistry and Science Laboratory Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct training in areas of specialization in accordance with the approved syllabus
• Prepare teaching and learning materials and schemes of work
• Develop technical teaching and training materials
• Set and mark examinations and assignments
• Supervise trainees during attachment placements
• Instruct, guide, and evaluate trainees in practical exercises
• Report on progress and overall performance of individual trainees
• Participate in the development of curriculum and training programmes
• Conduct research work under the guidance and supervision of senior trainers

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or equivalent qualification

Preferred Requirements

• Background training in Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET)
• Formal training in Pedagogy in Education
• Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) Registration
• Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable
