About the Role
Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a Trade Development Representative to drive channel growth and retail awareness. In this role, you will focus on retailer engagement to increase SIM card and float sales while ensuring strong visibility and merchandising standards at point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents.
Position Details

Job Purpose
To drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and float while maintaining visibility and merchandising standards at point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents through regular channel visitations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and map SSO and Agent outlets, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores
- Conduct regular field visits to SSOs and agents using agreed route plans (beat plans)
- Provide transaction tools and train SSOs and T-Kash agents on operational processes
- Deliver AML training and testing to agents; provide KYC process training to SSOs in relation to SIMREG
- Monitor float and stock levels, enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents, and ensure SSOs maintain adequate SIM stock for new registrations and activations
- Develop and maintain merchandising standards by supplying merchandising materials to SSO and agent outlets
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role in FMCG or Telecommunications
