Technical Sales Representative - DOC Sales

About the Role

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will drive sales growth and profitability for Kenchic Limited by promoting day-old chicks and complementary poultry products across your assigned territory. You will combine sales expertise with technical knowledge to support farmers and expand our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for day-old chicks (Broilers, Layers & Kenbro) and complementary products in your area of operation
• Drive sales volume through promotional activities, farm visits, seminars, and livestock shows
• Provide technical advice on poultry management, vaccines, and equipment to new, small-scale, and potential farmers
• Maintain Kenchic's quality standards across partner farms
• Generate market intelligence reports on factors impacting DOC sales and product quality
• Monitor and document competitor activities, providing regular updates to management
• Collect and act on customer feedback, promptly addressing complaints and concerns
• Build and maintain an accurate customer database to track customer numbers, identify trends, and monitor loyalty
• Support Kenchic's appointed distributors and agents through implementation of regional distribution plans
• Manage assigned funds, materials, and equipment efficiently to maximize organizational assets
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Animal Science, Animal Production, or Animal Health
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a customer technical support role within the poultry industry
• Valid practicing license from the Kenya Veterinary Board (registration and retention required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification in Marketing
