## Title: Technical Assistance Consultant for Agri-SMEs

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to provide technical assistance to agricultural small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through Aceli Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed workplan of activities to be performed during the assignment
  • Design program approach and methodology to achieve outcomes, incorporating a mixed delivery model including virtual learning, in-person bootcamps/workshops, and one-on-one advisory sessions covering business strategy, financial management, investment planning, risk and governance
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver the program using local, country-based resources in each country
  • Conduct outreach through various channels to source agri-SMEs meeting the target profile
  • Manage the application process, develop marketing collateral, and create an application platform
  • In collaboration with Aceli, conduct screening of applications to assess motivation and fit with program objectives
  • Consider geographic dispersion of agri-SMEs in selection to optimize program resources
  • Adapt program curriculum, approach, and tools to account for local contexts (language, value chains, and SME nuances)
  • Conduct baseline evaluation of selected SMEs using indicators and instruments developed collaboratively with Aceli
  • Deliver technical assistance program, including managing all program communication and logistics for workshops, SME visits, and other activities
  • Provide Aceli with real-time analytics on learning progress and SME performance
  • Integrate post-training surveys to assess learning adoption, behavioral change, and business outcomes
  • Prepare reports as agreed upon with Aceli

Proposal Requirements

Applicants should submit a proposal of 6-8 pages in length detailing:

  • Proposed approach to conducting the assignment, including a timeline, assumptions, and any requirements from the Aceli team and partners to meet project objectives
  • Experience in investment readiness and business training
