Team Leader (Logistics) – Mai Mahiu at Ital Global

About the Organization

Our client is a reputable construction company actively seeking a dedicated Team Leader (Logistics) to oversee and coordinate all logistics and transport operations. This role ensures efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of materials and products while managing a fleet of heavy commercial vehicles, supervising drivers and mechanics, and maintaining compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily transport and logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and concrete
• Plan and monitor dispatch schedules for tippers, dumpers, and mixer trucks to maximize fleet utilization
• Oversee fuel management, consumption tracking, and accurate reporting to control operational costs
• Ensure all vehicles undergo regular preventive maintenance and remain in good working condition
• Liaise with the workshop for vehicle repairs, servicing, and inspections
• Monitor driver performance, discipline, attendance, and compliance with company policies
• Maintain up-to-date fleet records including mileage, fuel usage, service logs, and insurance documentation
• Ensure adherence to all statutory transport and road safety regulations
• Coordinate with procurement and stores for availability of spare parts and consumables
• Manage dispatch documentation, including delivery notes and trip reports
• Conduct regular safety briefings and training sessions for drivers and logistics staff
• Analyze and report on fleet performance, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs
• Recommend improvements for cost control, route optimization, and operational efficiency
• Supervise loading and offloading activities to ensure compliance with safety standards

Qualifications & Experience
