## Title: Mathematics Teacher

University of Eastern Africa, Baraton invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Mathematics Teacher.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Diploma in Education with a minimum of C+ at KCSE (or equivalent) in at least two teaching subjects, with a minimum grade of C+ (or Credit Pass) in those subjects
Bachelor's degree in Education (added advantage)

For Diploma Teacher Applicants:

Diploma in Education from a recognized Teacher Training Institution
Diploma graduates from 2008 or earlier with a mean grade of C (plain) and C (plain) in two teaching subjects qualify for consideration
P1 Certificate (added advantage)

Professional and Personal Requirements:

Active registration as a teacher with the Teachers Service Commission
At least 1 year's teaching experience (added advantage)
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
Kenyan citizen
Seventh-day Adventist in regular standing (recommendation from local church pastor required)

Curriculum and Professional Development:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with CBE requirements
Assess, evaluate, and record learners' academic progress
Provide remedial support and guidance to struggling learners
Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment
Integrate Christian values in teaching and mentorship
Participate in co-curricular activities, school programs, and departmental meetings
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding learners' progress
Uphold the values and ethos of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
Perform other duties as assigned
