## Title: Chemistry Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Chemistry teacher to join our institution. This position involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons while supporting student development both academically and spiritually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in line with CBE (Competency-Based Education) requirements
  • Assess, evaluate, and record learners' academic progress
  • Provide remedial support and guidance to struggling learners
  • Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment
  • Integrate Christian values in teaching and mentorship
  • Participate in co-curricular activities, school programs, and departmental meetings
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians on learners' progress
  • Uphold the values and ethos of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Education with at least C+ at KCSE (or equivalent) with a C+ (or Credit Pass) in at least two teaching subjects
  • Diploma in Education from a recognized Teacher Training Institution (Diploma Teachers who graduated in 2008 or before must have a mean grade of C and C in the two teaching subjects)
  • Active registration as a teacher with the Teachers Service Commission
  • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
  • Kenyan citizen
  • Be an Adventist in regular standing with recommendation from your local church pastor

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Education
  • P1 Certificate
  • At least 1 year's teaching experience
  • Training on CBE curriculum
