Systems Analyst – ICT at ABC Bank (African Banking Corporation Limited)

About the Role

The Systems Analyst will work as part of the ICT Team to provide real-time support to Branches, Clearing Department, and SACCOs. The role involves ensuring customized functionality is tested and meets business requirements before production deployment, as well as assisting with the maintenance of bank-recommended changes to the core banking system.

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Senior Manager – ICT

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day ICT problems related to all banking applications (Level 1 & Level 2 support)
• Identify and record risks while executing daily departmental activities
• Execute End of Day/Month/Year core systems batch processes
• Test customized system scripts according to user requirements to prevent income leakages
• Perform interface, reports development, and migration-related activities
• Provide real-time support to CTS System users during cheque processing and manage their accounts accordingly
• Ensure system resources are available and working smoothly, maintaining adequate storage space
• Advise internal users on how to effectively solve business issues using systems
• Adhere to systems monitoring standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• At least 2 years of work experience

• Demonstrated experience with Oracle, Unix/Linux, Java/JavaScript, PHP, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, MSSQL, AJAX, and .NET
