## Title: Sponsorship Service Officer
About the Role
Good Neighbors is expanding its dynamic team and seeking talented Sponsorship Service Officers to join our mission in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering sponsorship services, managing community relationships, and ensuring positive outcomes for sponsored children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Work Planning: Participate in planning and implementing all Community Development Program (CDP) projects across sectors including education, health, WASH, and advocacy
- Community Outreach: Raise awareness in local communities about sponsorship program benefits and involvement opportunities through events, media, and community engagement activities
- Child Enrollment: Implement new child enrollment into the sponsorship program
- Service Delivery: Deliver services to schools, communities, and sponsored children at their schools and households, submitting timely and quality reports
- Data Collection: Ensure accurate data collection and record-keeping for all sponsorship-related information, including updated lists of sponsors, children, and CDP projects
- Child Development Follow-up: Regularly visit schools and households to assess sponsored children's progress and report to the CDP Head, ensuring sponsorship funds are used effectively and the program creates positive impact
- Sponsor Updates: Provide regular updates to sponsors on children's progress, achievements, and stories through photographs, videos, letters, and reports
- Community Understanding: Understand the specific needs and challenges of communities served and help tailor sponsorship programs to local cultural, economic, and social contexts
- Budgeting: Assist the CDP Head in creating yearly budget plans, ensuring all costs are covered and resources support beneficiaries effectively
- Advocacy: Advocate for the importance of children's rights, education, and health through demonstration and community engagement
