Emerge Egress Consulting is a HR Management & Training Consulting Firm established in 2017 based in Nairobi. The organization focuses on Recruitment, Business & Marketing Strategy, and Training Programs across various sectors, partnering with clients to meet their diverse operational needs.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day direction and guidance to kitchen team members as directed by the Executive Chef, in his absence or otherwise
- Meet daily with the Executive Chef to communicate operational challenges and successes
- Assist the Executive Chef in implementing kitchen operation activities
- Partner with Food & Beverage Managers and other management to create innovative and successful promotional ideas
- Monitor and review operating criteria to improve food preparation, presentation, menu selections, processes, and techniques to enhance customer satisfaction
- Participate in kitchen activities to achieve department targets including sales, turnaround time, service delivery, food quality, and menu variety
- Foster a collaborative, professional, and disciplined work environment while building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among kitchen team members
- Lead and actively participate in weekly and daily chef or departmental meetings and briefings, sharing ideas, opinions, and suggestions
- Conduct inspections of dining areas, in-room dining, banquet, and meeting room setups to ensure standards are maintained
- Perform daily walk-throughs of kitchen areas to ensure proper cleanliness and follow up with the Chief Steward when needed
- Liaise daily with Food & Beverage Managers and the culinary team to maintain open communication and relay guest feedback
- Participate in expanding the current food offering to lead the department's growth
