About the Role

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance market infrastructure software solutions as part of a delivery team
• Perform testing and quality assurance
• Document deliverables
• Provide maintenance and support for existing systems
• Collaborate effectively within the team and across office locations
• Work under the direction and supervision of the Lead Senior Software Engineer

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• 2–4 years of professional experience as a Java Software Engineer

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Demonstrable knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and software engineering fundamentals
• Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• Proficiency in Java
• Demonstrable knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies
• Strong debugging and code comprehension skills with ability to understand and evolve existing codebases
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills
• Strong work ethic, curiosity, and collaborative mindset
• Effective team player able to take and carry out instructions under direction

Added Advantages

• Knowledge of Jakarta EE and Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Docker, Linux, and Gradle
• Familiarity with financial systems, payment solutions, and platforms
• Multi-lingual abilities (English plus French, Portuguese, or Spanish)
• Master's degree in a related field
• Additional certifications in Software Engineering or related specializations
