## Title: Senior Supply Chain Management Officer III

Position Overview

Kibabii University College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Supply Chain Management Officer III located in Nairobi, Kenya.

Qualifications Required

Candidates must satisfy one of the following educational pathways:

Option 1: Master's Degree

  • Master's degree in one of the following disciplines:
    • Procurement and Supply Chain Management
    • Purchasing and Supplies Management
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Procurement and Contract Management
    • Logistics and Supply Chain Management
    • Procurement and Logistics Management
    • Equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience

Option 2: Bachelor's Degree

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:
    • Procurement and Supply Chain Management
    • Purchasing and Supplies Management
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Procurement and Contract Management
    • Logistics and Supply Chain Management
    • Procurement and Logistics Management
    • Equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years' service in the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer I (Grade 10) or comparable position

Additional Requirements

  • Membership in the Institute of Purchasing and Supplies or other recognized professional body
  • Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as evidenced by work performance and results

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of tender documents
  • Providing secretariat services to tender opening and technical evaluation committees
  • Preparation of periodic procurement reports
  • Participation in technical and financial evaluation of tenders
  • Providing secretariat services to procurement committees
  • Handling queries from internal and external customers
  • Implementing provisions of the Procurement Manuals
  • Ensuring safe custody of stores
  • Conducting market research and surveys of goods and services
  • Providing input in preparing specifications
  • Managing disposal of unserviceable, obsolete, and surplus stores and equipment
  • Issuing of stores as required
