Senior Software Engineer-LMS (Loan Management System) & MIS (Management Information System) at Pezesha

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our Loan Management System (LMS) and Management Information System (MIS). This critical role will strengthen Pezesha's core banking infrastructure and ensure operational efficiency across Kenya and Uganda.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the LMS/MIS roadmap and associated technical solutions
• Manage and resolve all LMS/MIS issues raised by the Finance, Credit, and Data teams
• Define and evolve the LMS/MIS roadmap into a robust core banking module for internal use
• Develop and implement long-term, scalable solutions to recurring LMS issues
• Lead Pezesha's core banking technology strategy, ensuring a solid and sustainable technical foundation
• Automate manual processes and configurations to enable self-service capabilities and reduce dependency on tech teams
• Prepare comprehensive documentation and conduct training sessions for relevant teams
• Lead weekly LMS workstream meetings, managing priorities and actions based on the issue tracker
• Act as the primary point of contact for Finance and other departments on all LMS-related matters, driving proactive problem-solving through cross-functional collaboration

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Issue Resolution

• Achieve 100% execution of issues reported by Finance and other internal users as tracked in the LMS issue tracker

Responsiveness

• Provide feedback and progress updates on LMS issues within 24 hours

Finance Support

• Ensure monthly financial system closure and related LMS support are completed by the 5th of each month

System Automation

• Implement APIs or configurations that enable self-service functionality for internal teams, reducing over-reliance on Tech

Cross-Country Support

• Provide timely LMS support to both Kenya and Uganda teams
