Senior Relationship Manager, Institutional Banking - 2 Posts

Position Overview

National Bank of Kenya is recruiting for 2 Senior Relationship Manager positions within the Institutional Banking sector of Corporate Banking. This role is responsible for driving business growth in assets, liabilities, and customer numbers while delivering revenue and profitability targets.

Position Scope

You will manage a portfolio of institutional banking customers and partner with Corporate Banking Product House Units (Transactional Banking, Trade, Asset Finance, and Insurance as applicable) to co-create business solutions and value propositions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver on Institutional Banking Annual Business Growth Targets including Revenue, Fees, Commissions, Profit Before Tax, Assets, Liabilities, and Customer Numbers by engaging existing and new customers
• Manage relationships with institutional banking customers
• Maintain and develop relationships with key and strategic institutional banking stakeholders
• Manage customer service by responding to and resolving inquiries and complaints within set standards
• Monitor and manage Portfolio at Risk (PAR) for the Institutional Banking segment within annual business targets
• Maintain turnaround time standards on credit applications for the Institutional Banking segment
• Manage Institutional Banking segment operational costs within approved budget
• Establish and maintain robust monitoring, controls, business continuity, governance, and risk management practices
• Support the Sector Head of Institutional Banking and assist in driving business growth across assets, liabilities, customer numbers, revenue, and profitability

Required Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking, or equivalent from a recognized institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution
• Relevant certification in business development or finance
• 5 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services
