Senior Programme Officer, Preventive and Curative Programme

About the Role

The National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC) is recruiting a Senior Programme Officer to provide technical support and capacity building for health promotion, prevention, control, and management of Syndemic diseases. This role supports the strengthening of primary health care systems in Kenya through the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and review of programme policies, strategies, and guidelines. The position also manages grant budgets with prudent financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Support relevant technical programme leads to coordinate and implement policies, strategies, and guidelines across all levels of administration and service provision
• Participate in developing analytical and technical reports, including assessments and studies to support strategic planning at regional and national levels
• Document findings and key lessons learned to improve accountability and quality reporting
• Update reporting tools and systems to enhance data management
• Collate data and studies relevant to programmatic needs and emerging trends
• Participate in developing structures and promoting interventions that ensure privacy, non-discrimination, and non-stigmatization of affected populations
• Collaborate with other departments to support development and implementation of sector-specific workplace policies for both formal and informal sectors
• Raise awareness and improve knowledge to create impactful response to strategic diseases among communities

Required Qualifications

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields from a recognized institution:

  • Health Economics
  • Epidemiology
  • Medicine
  • Social Sciences
  • Business Administration
  • Public Administration
  • Related disciplines

Professional Qualifications

• Membership with a relevant professional body
