About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join the School of Education as a Senior Lecturer. In this role, you will provide academic leadership in curriculum development, teaching excellence, and research advancement within your area of specialization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum

• Lead curriculum development and review processes
• Develop appropriate learning and teaching materials for effective subject delivery
• Prepare and deliver course outlines, content, and materials to students
• Deliver lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students
• Conduct continual evaluation of student coursework to assess teaching effectiveness and student performance

Student Assessment and Support

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and continuous assessments
• Assess student performance and prepare progress reports for academic decision-making
• Advise students on academic improvement strategies
• Participate in departmental and school discussions on examination results to ensure course effectiveness and improved performance

Research and Scholarly Activity

• Participate in the development of research projects to extend knowledge in the relevant subject area
• Generate innovation activities and intellectual property in your area of specialization
• Undertake publishing in peer-reviewed articles, books, and book chapters
• Undertake academic consultancies

Service and Engagement

• Participate in community and professional service provisions
• Participate in the translation and implementation of knowledge into practice
• Provide expertise in areas of specialization for university income generation programs
• Conduct academic seminars at departmental and school levels
• Attend senate, school, and departmental meetings as required
