## Title: Senior Accounts Assistant
About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as a Senior Accounts Assistant.
Job Reference: SAA/016/25
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare payment vouchers
- Process payments, imprests, and travel advances
- Receive cash, banking, balance, and reconcile cash books on a daily basis
- Post payments and receipts in the cashbook
- Disburse funds in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act provisions
- Provide safe custody of cash and payment vouchers
- Prepare and update creditor, debtor, and general ledgers
- Liaise with customers to provide billing information
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
- Process statutory deductions payments
- Prepare and maintain accurate prepayments, accruals, and provision schedules
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience
- Diploma in Accounting or a related field from a recognized institution
- Professional accounting certification
- Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) examination or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
