Security Officer at Mirema School

About the Role

Mirema School, a reputable Christian educational institution, is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our entire premises, staff, learners, and visitors. This position requires a vigilant professional responsible for preventing unauthorized access, break-ins, and maintaining a secure environment throughout day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises and monitor the institution to ensure the safety of all persons and property
• Guard the entire property, students, staff, and all persons against trespassers, damage, theft, and accidents during day and night shifts
• Monitor and inspect all goods and services being delivered to the institution
• Record and register employees and visitors, confirm the purpose of visits, and sign them out upon departure
• Allocate parking spaces for vehicles, motorbikes, and bicycles in accordance with parking policies
• Scan staff bags and belongings as they exit the school and report any discrepancies
• Inspect buildings during patrols for water spillages, unlocked rooms/offices, and electrical switches
• Submit daily shift reports documenting all occurrences and incidents
• Contact and coordinate with relevant authorities (police, fire brigade, ambulance) for unlawful or irregular activities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience as a Security Officer or equivalent position in a reputable organization
• NYS Training certification
• Proficiency in Computer Applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate in First Aid
