## Title: School Administrator/Accountant

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team. Reporting to the School Director/Head Teacher, the Administrator will ensure the smooth running of all school administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for school-related inquiries, including emails, incoming and outgoing visitors, and telephone calls; provide accurate information and courteously redirect inquiries to appropriate departments
  • Maintain solid customer relationships by handling enquiries, questions, and concerns with speed and professionalism
  • Admit new children and maintain up-to-date records of all pupils enrolled in the school
  • Organize school trips in consultation with the Head Teacher and Director
  • Promptly order school stationery, kitchen supplies, and other items as needed
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all school inventory and a register of school assets
  • Organize and manage the storage and distribution of all school supplies; maintain records and ensure adequate supply upkeep and procurement consistent with organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintain school personnel records
  • Ensure the school system is updated with learners' and parents' details; run monthly reports
  • Manage school petty cash and reconcile on a weekly basis

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in secretarial studies, business management, administration, or equivalent
  • Accounting background is an added advantage
  • At least 4 years of working experience in a similar position in a school or busy environment
  • Teaching experience is an added advantage
