## Title: Sales Operations Head – Bakery

About the Role

MSVL Group is seeking an experienced Sales Operations Head to lead and optimize distribution operations for our bakery business in Nairobi, Kenya. You will oversee large-scale field logistics, manage distribution teams, and drive operational excellence across route planning, delivery performance, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and optimize daily and weekly delivery routes to maximize coverage, freshness, and on-time performance
  • Monitor and manage field KPIs including on-time delivery, route adherence, stock reconciliation, and returns
  • Dynamically re-route teams based on demand shifts, traffic, vehicle issues, or stock availability
  • Troubleshoot field challenges including breakdowns, customer escalations, route conflicts, and stock variances
  • Coordinate with production, warehousing, and distribution teams to align loading schedules and dispatch plans
  • Implement and improve route optimization systems, GPS/telematics tracking, and reporting dashboards
  • Lead, mentor, and performance-manage route supervisors and team leaders; conduct regular field audits
  • Ensure strict safety, hygiene, and food-safety (FSSC/ISO) compliance during deliveries

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of total experience, including 4–5 years in a similar sales-operations or distribution leadership role within bakery, FMCG, beverages, cold-chain, or QSR distribution
  • Proven experience managing large field distribution teams (approximately 100 personnel)

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to drive discipline, motivation, and accountability
  • Proficiency in route planning tools, GPS/telematics systems, Excel, and BI dashboards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
