About the Company
J&I is a start-up company in the manufacturing sector, operating a cottage industry that processes roasted peanuts and peanut butter. The cottage plant is based in Kitengela, Kajiado County.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Executive to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in driving door-to-door sales efforts, focusing on retail shops. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the informal retail market, excellent communication skills, and a passion for engaging with clients both in-person and online.
Main Responsibilities
- Sign up the business with large retail chains (supermarkets) and distributors in assigned region
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail outlets to ensure a consistent flow of orders
- Ensure timely stock replenishment to existing customers
- Gather information on client needs and preferences and make suggestions for product improvements
- Work with the production team to plan production schedules based on demand forecasts
- Manage the company's social media pages and engage with clients
- Work with the ICT department to develop suitable content for the website
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Business, Sales, or Marketing
- At least 1 year of experience working in FMCG, specifically retail sales to supermarkets and minimarkets
- Existing customer relationships (an advantage)
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills
- Knowledge of the informal retail market
- Proficiency in social media management and online client engagement
- Ability to gather and analyze customer feedback
