About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Relationship Manager to drive profitable revenue and volume growth for our Money Transfer Services division. In this role, you will focus on new client acquisition, deepening existing relationships, and cross-selling opportunities to improve market share and customer wallet share within the bank.
Position Scope
This position is responsible for leading the growth and operational excellence of the bank's inbound and outbound remittance business, with particular focus on priority corridors and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-create acquisition campaigns with the Marketing department and partners, targeting diaspora communities, embassies, student bodies, and worker programs
- Develop in-country payout network synergies (agents, branches, ATMs, wallets) to enhance last-mile delivery and convenience
- Lead the growth and operational excellence of the bank's inbound and outbound remittance business, focusing on priority corridors and strategic partners
- Manage and grow money transfer partnerships at both local and international levels
- Drive transaction volumes, revenues, and market share growth for remittance services
- Develop and manage relationships with remittance partners, agents, and correspondents
- Promote cross-selling of bank products through remittance channels
- Ensure compliance with AML/CFT, KYC, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor fraud risks and suspicious transaction trends
- Track performance KPIs and prepare management reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field from a recognized university
- Five (5) years of banking experience, with a minimum of 2 years in relationship management or business development at a managerial level in a commercial bank
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Business development and sales acumen
- Comprehensive understanding of money transfer service regulations from both local and international perspectives
- Knowledge of remittance regulations and industry standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a Business-related field from a recognized university
- AML/CFT certification
