Raw Material Procurement & Supply Coordinator – Avocados

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities: - Establish seasonal avocado volume requirements in liaison with Directors and senior management. - Plan and coordinate raw material sourcing, harvesting and delivery scheduling to the packhouse. - Develop and maintain effective relationships with farmers, orchards, producer groups and brokers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and other East African regions. - Develop and maintain accurate supplier maps and databases. - Play a leading role in packhouse production planning and fruit allocation. - Maintain accurate raw material records and coordinate procurement logistics. - Manage rejects, local sales and fruit waste management. Requirements: & Qualifications - Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Agribusiness or related field. - Strong Diploma holders with solid field experience will be considered. - Short courses in fresh produce quality management or procurement are an added advantage. - Exposure to GlobalG.A.P., Organic or Fairtrade standards and HACCP awareness is desirable Work Experience - 2–5 years’ hands-on experience in fresh produce sourcing or procurement. - Experience working with smallholder farmers, orchards and brokers. - Practical exposure to harvesting, grading, packhouse deliveries and management of rejects.
