About the Role

Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiographer to join our medical imaging department.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and radiological equipment for patient procedures
• Perform x-rays and radiological examinations as prescribed by medical practitioners
• Assist radiologists in conducting specialized examinations, such as barium meals
• Process x-ray images, maintain documentation, and dispatch results
• Ensure all examinations adhere to established protocol procedures while considering patient conditions, physical abilities, and age requirements
• Maintain accurate radiological patient registers
• Maintain consumables inventory records
• Participate in the planning and execution of departmental continuing medical education (CME)
• Provide image intensifier services as required
• Provide radiographic services in the cardiac catheterization laboratory (Cath-lab)
• Mentor and support junior radiographers

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or Bachelor of Science in Radiography
• Minimum two (2) years of professional working experience
• Current registration and licensure with the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority (KNRA)
• Active membership with the Society of Radiography Kenya (SORK), with all certifications up to date
• Hands-on experience with MRI and CT imaging equipment
