Programme Officer, Grants Management

Job Purpose

Provide technical support and capacity building for health promotion, prevention, control, and management of Syndemic diseases. Support the strengthening of primary health care systems in the country through the initiation, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and review of programme policies, strategies, and guidelines. The role is also responsible for implementing prudent management of grant budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in grant proposal development for the Council
• Review applicants and grantee financial reports to perform grant due diligence procedures and identify potential concerns
• Maintain grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement and grant budget management, ensuring high standards of effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness
• Participate in the monitoring and oversight of grant utilization to ensure accountability

Required Qualifications

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields:
  • Public Health
  • Epidemiology
  • Biostatistics
  • Health Economics
  • Social Sciences
  • Business Development
  • Development Studies
  • Business Administration
• Equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution

Professional Qualifications

• Membership in a relevant professional body
