Position Summary

The successful candidate will provide leadership in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive teaching and learning programmes. You will develop and execute the Institute's research strategies within your area of specialization, mobilize resources, mentor academic staff and students, establish academic-industry collaborations, and champion the dissemination of research outputs. This position requires active engagement with stakeholders and industry partners in technology transfer and commercialization of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead research partnerships, collaborations, and linkages in your area of specialization at national, regional, and international levels
• Initiate and lead external bids for research funding and consultancies
• Exercise intellectual and educational leadership within the institution
• Promote the development of innovative approaches to course design and delivery while ensuring compliance with the Institute's quality framework, educational standards, and regulations
• Identify student learning needs and design appropriate learning outcomes
• Assess student learning activities, conduct examinations, and provide constructive feedback
• Provide academic leadership by fostering a vibrant and productive academic environment
• Develop laboratory manuals aligned with approved curricula in your thematic area
• Supervise student theses, dissertations, internships, and attachments as applicable
• Mentor teaching and research staff and students in your area of specialization
• Champion the dissemination of research outputs and outcomes
• Collaborate with stakeholders and industry partners on technology transfer and innovation commercialization
