Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the implementation of supply chain management policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Conduct internal monitoring and evaluation of stores usage
• Assess the performance of suppliers and contractors
• Manage inventory and stock control
• Prepare Board of Survey meetings for disposal of stores
• Open, evaluate, and recommend the awarding of tenders
• Follow up on payment of suppliers of goods and services
• Coordinate disposal of stores and equipment
• Conduct procurement market research

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Cumulative service period of nine (9) years of relevant work experience
• Minimum three (3) years at the grade of Senior Supply Chain Management Officer or equivalent position

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:
  • Supply Chain Management and Logistics
  • Purchasing and Supplies Management
  • Procurement and Supplies Management
  • Procurement
  • Commerce (Supplies Management option)
  • Business Administration (Supplies Management option)
• Equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Management Course of not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution

Professional Requirements

• Membership of the Kenya Institute of Supply Management (KISM) in good standing
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
