Principal Supply Chain Management Officer

About the Role

Join the National Biosafety Authority in Nairobi, Kenya as a Principal Supply Chain Management Officer. This is an opportunity to lead supply chain operations within a leading organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement annual procurement and disposal plans and prepare quarterly implementation status reports
• Coordinate procurement and disposal activities across the organization
• Provide input into the development of annual procurement and disposal plans
• Prepare contract documents for goods, works, and services
• Liaise with user departments to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works, and services
• Provide secretariat services to committees related to procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets
• Oversee periodic and annual stocktaking exercises
• Coordinate asset disposal activities
• Prepare statutory reports to PPRA, EACC, and National Treasury

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or relevant qualification from a recognized institution
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or relevant qualification from a recognized institution
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role in the public or private sector
• Management course of at least 4 weeks from a recognized institution
• Member of KISM or equivalent professional body in good standing
