About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for the position of Principal Internal Auditor. This is a key leadership role within the internal audit function.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Cumulative period of nine (9) years' relevant work experience
• Minimum three (3) years at Senior Internal Auditor level or in a comparable position

Educational Credentials

• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields:
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Commerce (Finance/Accounting option)
  • Business Administration (Finance or Accounting option)
  • Business Management (Finance/Accounting option)
  Qualification must be from a recognized and accredited institution
• Certified Public Accountants (CPA-K) or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• CISA or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution (where applicable)
• Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution

Professional Requirements

• Member of Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya (IIA) or other relevant professional body (where applicable and in good standing)
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
