Post of Lecturer - Public Reproductive Health at Mama Ngina University College (MNUC)

Position Overview

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for a Lecturer position in Public Reproductive Health at Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) in Nairobi, Kenya.

Required Qualifications

• An earned PhD or equivalent Doctoral degree in Population Health, Public Health, Public Reproductive Health, Epidemiology & Disease Control, Monitoring & Evaluation, Community Health, or Occupational Health & Safety from an accredited and recognized university
• A Master's degree in Population Health, Public Health, Public Reproductive Health, Epidemiology & Disease Control, Monitoring & Evaluation, Community Health, or Occupational Health & Safety from an accredited and recognized university
• A Bachelor's degree in Population Health from an accredited and recognized university
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience at university level or in research/industry
• A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers
• Evidence of attendance and contribution at conferences, seminars, or workshops
• Proficiency in computer applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Current registration by relevant professional statutory bodies
• Membership in a professional association

Key Responsibilities

• Teach courses in your area of specialization in accordance with the syllabus
• Coordinate course projects and practical work
• Prepare teaching and learning materials
• Set, invigilate, and mark examinations and assignments
• Carry out research work in a relevant field or specialization
• Prepare student progress reports
• Develop proposals for research funding
• Write journal articles and books
• Present academic papers at conferences, seminars, workshops, or symposia
• Develop and review academic programmes and curricula
• Supervise Tutorial/Junior Research Fellows and students

Position Details

This is the entry grade for PhD degree holders into this cadre. An officer at this level will work under direct supervision of a senior officer.
