## Title: Lecturer in Epidemiology & Disease Control

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and qualified academic professional to join our expanding team at Mama Ngina University College (MNUC). This is an entry-grade position for PhD degree holders, working under the direct supervision of a senior officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures in your area of specialization in accordance with the syllabus
  • Coordinate course projects and practical work
  • Prepare teaching and learning materials
  • Set, invigilate, and mark examinations and assignments
  • Conduct research work in your relevant field or specialization
  • Prepare student progress reports
  • Develop proposals for research funding
  • Write journal articles and books
  • Present academic papers at conferences, seminars, workshops, or symposia
  • Develop and review academic programmes and curricula
  • Supervise tutorial, junior research fellows, and students

Required Qualifications

  • An earned PhD or equivalent Doctoral degree in Population Health, Public Health, Public Reproductive Health, Epidemiology & Disease Control, Monitoring & Evaluation, Community Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent from an accredited and recognized university
  • A Master's degree in Population Health, Public Health, Public Reproductive Health, Epidemiology & Disease Control, Monitoring & Evaluation, Community Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent from an accredited and recognized university
  • A Bachelor's degree in Population Health from an accredited and recognized university
  • At least three (3) years of teaching experience at university level or in research/industry
  • A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers
  • Evidence of attendance and contribution at conferences, seminars, or workshops
  • Proficiency in computer applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current registration by relevant professional statutory bodies
  • Membership in a professional association
