Platform Manager – Democracy Governance & Human Rights at Act Change Transform (Act)

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Platform Manager position for our Democracy Governance & Human Rights (DGHR) program. This role will oversee the strategic direction, implementation, and financial management of the DGHR platform while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Implementation

• Work closely with Resource Mobilization teams to identify potential funders and initiatives for DGHR work
• Identify and provide leadership in responding to funding opportunities to support DGHR initiatives
• Develop detailed DGHR program work plans, including activity descriptions
• Manage implementation of program activities to ensure execution on time and to adequate quality standards
• Ensure current programs are delivered according to plan with adequate stakeholder consultation
• Ensure staff and partners effectively engage with communities, civil society organizations, and government partners

Monitoring & Capacity Building

• Ensure the DGHR portfolio undertakes regular analysis to inform program interventions
• Conduct site visits and mentor partners in areas of program and project design, implementation, reporting, strategic planning, advocacy, and communication
• Build coalitions and networks to strengthen program impact

Financial Management

• Hold responsibility for the overall DGHR Platform budget
• Provide oversight in budget preparation and tracking of all DGHR programs within the portfolio
• Oversee all expenditure related to grants and administration within the portfolio
• Provide regular updates to the CEO on the financial health of the DGHR portfolio
• Provide oversight to the budgeting process for all proposals submitted within the portfolio
• Work closely with the Grants departmental lead to provide up-to-date reports on partner performance

Networking & Representation

• Maintain strong external linkages with national and county government actors and communities
• Establish and maintain regular contact with beneficiary groups and partner organizations
• Liaise with key stakeholders to strengthen relationships and program delivery
