## Title: Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (PMERL) Program Officer

About the Role

Vi Agroforestry is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a talented Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (PMERL) Program Officer to join our office in Nairobi, Kenya.

General Responsibilities

  • Promote and support the interests of Vi Agroforestry and contribute to the fulfillment of organizational strategy
  • Ensure and promote a rights-based approach in all operations
  • Ensure adherence to Vi Agroforestry policies, guidelines, operating procedures, and workplans
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and maintain high-quality standards across all deliverables
  • Combat corruption and fraud by reporting any suspected irregularities
  • Mainstream gender considerations and promote gender transformation across all operations
  • Participate actively in resource mobilization efforts
  • Stay informed of developments within your areas of responsibility
  • Liaise with partner organizations, researchers, and relevant stakeholders
  • Foster effective cooperation among staff and contribute to a healthy work environment
  • Support teamwork and provide assistance as needed
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management plans, workplans, and budgets for the country office
  • Keep your manager updated on opportunities, challenges, and assignment progress, providing advance notice of any deadline concerns

Required Qualifications

Education

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Master's degree in statistics, social sciences, project management, development studies, or a related field
  • Certification in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, or Results-Based Management

Professional Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in common IT tools, database management, and web-based applications
  • High-level skills in report writing and presentations
  • Knowledge of grant management and compliance issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
