Planning and Records Officer

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, the Senior Planning and Records Officer will be responsible for developing and defining engineering and planning standards within their discipline for Safarilink and supported fleets. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate maintenance planning and scheduling activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations in compliance with regulations
• Prepare work scopes for aircraft, engines, propellers, and APU based on upcoming hangar and shop visits
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for staff within the technical section, ensuring compliance with type certificate and airworthiness requirements
• Represent technical services in inter- and intra-departmental forums
• Develop and implement engine stagger programs and removal plans in collaboration with the planning division
• Collaborate with the Quality department team to ensure all maintenance activities meet or exceed regulatory standards
• Participate in root cause analysis for technical incidents and develop corrective action plans
• Liaise with aircraft and component manufacturers as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma from a recognized institution in Aeronautical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance planning and technical records in the aviation industry
• Detailed knowledge of KCAA regulations and in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and maintenance management software systems
• High level of integrity and safety consciousness

Preferred Attributes

• Familiarity with analytical software used in aircraft maintenance planning
• Experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles
• Strong team player with excellent collaborative abilities
