Outdoor Sales Representative - Home Appliances

About the Role

This vacancy presents a chance to join a leading organization in the home appliances sector. As an Outdoor Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and distribution across your assigned territory in Nairobi.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Achieve set secondary sales targets (volume and value) by strictly adhering to journey plans to deliver maximum product distribution at the retail end
• Execute sales drivers with focus on availability, affordability, accessibility, and activation
• Ensure distribution is achieved in assigned territory by meeting customer call rate coverage targets, acquiring new outlets, and expanding portfolio availability
• Execute upselling of value brands and cross-selling of portfolio while building standard stock cover
• Identify and resolve customer issues promptly
• Achieve merchandising objectives according to set segment standards in both cold and ambient spaces
• Identify, negotiate, plan, and execute activation opportunities such as promotions in line with territory sales plans
• Manage customer cash and credit resources to drive brand growth in volume and value
• Monitor and manage company assets such as vehicles in accordance with policies and procedures
• Receive, follow up, and resolve all customer queries and complaints in collaboration with the customer service team
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to the territory manager to facilitate proper planning
• Gather market intelligence and communicate findings to management to enhance business performance

Required Skills, Competencies & Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or certificate in Sales & Marketing or a related field from a reputable institution
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience, preferably in electronics (TV, sub-woofers, microwaves, etc.)
• Proven experience in Modern Trade (MT) and General Trade (GT) business
• Familiarity with competitor brands and products
