Job description
## Title: Credit Administration Officer
Job Purpose
Support the creation of high quality credit risk assets for the bank while minimizing non-performing loans and increasing financial performance. Work closely with Relationship Managers on deal structuring to add credit and policy value throughout the lending process.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Responsibilities
- Ensure all conditions precedent for credit facilities are in place and obtain necessary deferrals/waivers from the Management Credit Committee prior to Head of Credit and Head of Legal sign-off for disbursement
- Monitor post-disbursement compliance with approved terms and conditions, including assignment of rights, credit expiry, and progress payment insurance
- Track irregularities, past dues, and documentation deficiencies, reporting findings to Management
- Ensure recovery of security pledged on delinquent loans
- Monitor and report asset quality of the loan portfolio, including delinquencies, non-accruals, loan concentrations, and profitability analyses to the Departmental Head
- Conduct post-approval assessment of credit facilities and initiate appropriate follow-up actions
- Review facility and overdraft excesses and non-facility overdrafts through daily IT reports to ensure proper authorization and prevent unauthorized credit extensions
- Seek necessary approvals for account excesses
Customer Responsibilities
- Work with Relationship Managers on assigned portfolios to facilitate revenue growth
- Advise all applicants on their application status within reasonable timeframes
- Review Letters of Offers and other correspondence prepared by Credit Administration Assistants and Officers
