## Title: Nurse Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Nurse Manager to provide overall leadership, supervision, and coordination of nursing staff at our specialist hospital. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care aligned with hospital policies and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership, supervision, and coordination of nursing staff
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care aligned with hospital policies and clinical standards
- Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day nursing operations to ensure efficient workflow and optimal resource utilization
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and continuous professional development of nursing staff
- Monitor patient safety indicators and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen communication and care coordination
- Ensure proper and timely nursing documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Enforce adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
- Participate in budgeting, procurement, and inventory management of nursing supplies and equipment
- Handle patient and family concerns professionally, ensuring excellent customer service
- Lead audits, accreditation processes, and compliance activities within the nursing department
- Foster staff mentorship, teamwork, and a positive work environment
- Promote continuous training, CME participation, and competence development for nursing staff
- Support hospital leadership in policy development, strategic planning, and change management
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSCN) from a recognized institution
- Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage teams, handle operational challenges, and drive quality improvement
Desirable Qualifications
- Advanced training in management, leadership, or quality assurance
