Nurse Lead- Specialists Clinic at AAR Hospital

Job Purpose

The Nurse Lead oversees daily operations of the Specialists Clinic, including staff management, scheduling, budget administration, and implementation of hospital policies. This role ensures high-quality patient care, effective resource utilization, and seamless clinic operations while maintaining professional standards and regulatory compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and Staff Management

• Orient new employees and provide mentorship and professional development guidance to nursing staff
• Create work schedules and duty rotas for clinic staff
• Lead staff meetings and performance discussions
• Model professionalism and nursing excellence, ensuring all staff treat patients with dignity, privacy, and respect
• Apply hospital disciplinary policies and procedures effectively in cases of policy violations
• Attend administrative meetings, charge nurse meetings, and procedure committees as required

Clinical Operations and Standards

• Oversee all nursing activities and operations in the Specialists Clinic
• Ensure timely patient booking and scheduling for seamless clinic operations
• Ensure all clinic patients are assessed, reviewed by consultants, and information is properly documented in the hospital management system
• Implement and maintain nursing care standards and procedures to continuously improve quality and exceed patient expectations
• Participate in quality audits and compliance reviews within the clinic

Financial and Resource Management

• Oversee accurate medical billing and timely charging for services rendered
• Draft unit budgets and ensure cost-containment measures
• Order and manage medical equipment as needed
• Ensure all clinic utilities and resources are available, properly utilized, and maintained for quality service delivery and profitability
• Negotiate insurance contracts when necessary

Confidentiality and Compliance

• Protect all confidential information concerning the hospital, consultants, and patients
• Make disclosures only with patient consent and Chief Executive Officer approval
