## Title: Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer
About the Role
The Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer will be responsible for monitoring the performance and capacity of core and access networks and critical backend systems. You will troubleshoot network and service problems, ensure network and service assurance, update key stakeholders and clients, and document incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor LIT EA networks to maintain high network availability and optimal production network performance
- Perform accurate and fast first-level LIT EA network fault troubleshooting and identification
- Promptly attend to service-related tickets assigned by Tier 1, identify issues, resolve them, escalate to relevant departments, and follow through to resolution within SLA to ensure uptime and reliability of services
- Provide timely and expedient support to technical service manager teams
- Create proper network and service tickets, capturing impact and criticality of affected links and services in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure correct fault escalation to relevant teams within SOPs
- Escalate problematic network and service issues to senior NOC engineers and NOC managers for further intervention in a timely manner
- Draft detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Request for Changes (RFC) documentation and implement measures or recommendations to mitigate and prevent service interruptions
- Provide timely and accurate availability, utilization, and ad-hoc reports to customers and internal teams
- Identify recurring network and service incidents through audit and redundancy testing, implementing or proposing necessary changes to prevent future interruptions
- Configure system hardware and fulfil network and service monitoring and ticketing functions
- Provide client remote technical support and coordinate field operations allocations and dispatch
- Track resolution and updates for all incidents
- Carry out network audits and redundancy tests
