Position Summary
The Marketing Manager will be a strategist and implementer—equally comfortable devising big-picture campaigns and executing them hands-on. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that enhance Dance Centre Kenya's visibility, grow enrollment, and increase audience engagement. This role requires a proactive individual with the ability to balance creative vision with the practical demands of a fast-paced arts organization.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to grow visibility, enrollment, and event attendance
- Collaborate with the Artistic Director to align marketing efforts with organizational goals
- Manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Create and manage content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn), ensuring a minimum of five high-quality posts per week
- Respond promptly and professionally to social media messages, fostering engagement and community
- Collaborate with website expert to optimize the organization's website through SEO and content updates to drive traffic and ensure relevant, up-to-date information
- Explore innovative ways to grow digital presence and audience reach
Public Relations & Media Outreach
- Cultivate relationships with local media outlets (newspapers, TV, radio) to secure regular coverage of events and achievements
- Draft press releases, coordinate interviews, and manage media appearances
- Maintain a comprehensive archive of media coverage in both digital and physical formats
Event Promotion & Coordination
- Oversee marketing for all performances, workshops, and community outreach events
- Coordinate ticket sales and manage relationships with third-party vendors
